PocketMoney - checkbook, budgets, expenses App Reviews

I have tried several iPad financial apps, and Pocket Money is the best, in my opinion. I have previously used Quicken and MS Money desktop programs, but I wanted an iPad program, and Pocket Money does all I need. It is very intuitive, and easy to use, and has a nice user interface. The one feature I really wanted - a cash-flow forecast - can be easily created by showing future bills and deposits, along with the associated running balance.

Can no longer access app, as I have a repeating transaction with notification. App crashes no matter what I try. In its current iteration, complete waste of cash! Update: I e-mailed catamount, and heard back within a few hours that this will be fixed in an upcoming update. Gear customer service! Bumping it up to three stars, back to five once its actually fixed.

What a waste of precious time and money...bugs that kick you out of a paid software...just wonderbar !!!!!!

I find this clunky . Where is the home page? It is not intuitive and they want more money to show the charts. !! Come on, do you want customers, or no, at least give the basic charts... I will keep using and change my review if I find any charts at all.

I bought this app a while ago and stopped using it because I found it too cumbersome to sync with MicroSoft Money on my computer. I happened to look at it again in the app store and saw that a desktop version of PM was available and that I could try it for 30 days before buying it. I installed the desktop version and imported all my info from Money into it and then used the in app sync over wifi to get it all on my phone. It worked great and once you have it all on both devices it takes seconds to sync the two with any changes. I am very happy with my purchases. I can recommend a couple of small changes/additions but Ill do that by email. This is a great app.

I love this app, its simple once I had the basics down. I purchased the full meal-deal, run it on two iPhones and an iPad, and the desktop version on my iMac. The sync function works without a hitch. For now I just keep a running tab on checking accounts, savings, credit cards, and investments. The program does take a bit of time to work through the many features, I did it without reading the instructions!!! I cant say enough, Im very pleased with "pocketMoney" and recommend this app to anyone looking for a daily, simple to use app to monitor there accounts and track spending.

I have used Pocketmoney for a couple of years now and the only thing I was unhappy about was the repeating transactions (upcoming bills) - frankly it was a mess. I had to use another app to track them, but now with this latest update, I am very happy over all with Pocketmoney.

LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! Takes a bit to get set up with all your accounts and opening balances but once that is done, easy peasy and fun! Worth the small cost.

Every time I enter a transaction and swipe the cleared bar most if the time it will not show it as cleared. A glitch with the app, or my copy of the app?

Just one thing... Can you please incorporate a calculator in this App. I know you can do calculations within an amount field but I need to do more calculations. Thanks!

PocketMoney really is the best one out there. I use this every day, both for work and personal. Working internationally I use it to track over a dozen different currencies as well as my banking, investments and credit cards. Easy to use but powerful. Not the simplest basic interface app out there - this one is more for serious users. I also like how responsive the creator is with requests and issues. Worth the money for sure. For those looking at the overall rating spread, note that most of the 1-star ratings are from 2-3 years ago and most of the recent reviews are very positive.

Its the perfect app for keeping track of all of your accounts!! Worth every penny!!

I like this app. It has a lot of great features. But it doesnt have any more or better features than the other apps in this category. And its just a blown up iPhone app. When will you release an iPad app? Theres a lot of wasted real estate on the iPad screen. Not worth $5. If it was $1 Id recommend to everybody, but for $5, save your money. Better apps out there.

Spent a long time entering 3 months of data..and the next day the balance was not correct. Entered it again and it still does not keep the correct balance,not impressed.What waste of time.

I just updated the most recent version and completely lost all of my info - Up to this point, loved this app and had no problems but now ...... How do I retrieve all my info?? All i have now is a white screen.

Does everything I need and more.

I am currently using this app along with the desktop application to track my household expenses. The interface is very intuitive and for the most part is excellent. Inputting information is simple and doesnt consume a lot of time. I love that there is no cloud service or giving out account password information. So far this program has worked seamlessly with its counterparts. It is robust enough for our several accounts and has everything that we need from a money tracking program. The budget area, however, is lacking: Considering the budget area of this software is emphasized so much I was hoping that it would suit my needs better. I have many budgets that are variable but over the course of a year balance out and there currently isnt a great way to see how well you are doing. Suggestions: YTD with a variable start date (most people will not begin using this on January 1st) would be perfect. The quarterly and bimonthly options serve no use to me personally although I can see their use in business. Better graphs. I paid for the graph add on and unfortunately its rather useless. What happened to pie charts? Overall I am most disappointed with that feature since I specifically paid for it. Although I have suggestions this is a great program and I would suggest people who are interested in tracking their expenses manually without giving out passwords to use this program. Easily the best one I have found.

Screen is stuck on a pop-up for an overdue transaction. I cannot log into the app at all. I rebooted the iPhone 2X but no change!

I had a problem with the app after updating to iOS 7 which rendered it unusable. I checked the forums and found a fix. Easy peasy!

The app works well, after upgrading to iOS 7 it seems to crash a lot. Thankfully, I havent lost any data.
